Little Athletics

Armidale Athletics and Armidale Little Athletics are holding two 'come-and-try' days in September to prepare for the coming season. Athletics is a family sport where children, parents and even grandparents can run, jump and throw alongside each other to have fun, get active or compete.

There are many other benefits of joining athletics. At our sessions we focus on development of fundamental running, jumping and throwing skills which can improve speed and agility when playing other sports.

Our come and try days are free and open to anyone who turn 6 or older in 2020.

Looking for a quiet place to study?

The Armidale Regional Council's Public Library is now open from 10:30 – 4:30 pm week days and 10:00 – 1:00 pm Saturdays.

Students are welcome to stay and study in the building during these hours - there is no longer a time limit on their visits.

Vinnies Community Sleepout

On Friday 23 October 2020, Vinnies will be holding our first virtual NSW Vinnies Community Sleepout to shine a spotlight on homelessness in our local community. Participants across twelve locations in NSW, including Armidale, will come together in a state-wide effort to raise important funds and awareness for those in our local community who need it the most.

By choosing to sleep out at home in your car, backyard or on your couch participants will help raise vital funds for local Vinnies services and programs in Armidale whilst connecting with some of the realities faced by those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.

For more information go to Vinnies Community Sleepout.
