Book Week

Celebrating Books

"I love how books can take you to another world, no matter what's going on in your life."  Alison Lester

This coming Monday the 24th of August we will be celebrating Book Week and we would love you to be part of it.  We would ask that each child brings in their favourite book that they love reading with you.  Maybe you might like to record yourself reading it and uploading it to your child's story on Storypark so that we can play it to the children throughout the week.  Throughout the week, we will take the time to nestle in and transfer ourselves to some other worlds.  Please make sure these books are clearly labelled.

On Wednesday we will be hosting a Book Week Parade at the school gym where your child can come dressed as their favourite book character or costume.  We do ask you to consider what your child wears to ensure that they are warm and comfortable for the day and are able to manage their physical behaviours while in character.  Even though weapons often form part of costumes, we would ask that these remain at home.  Thank you.

Please arrive no later than 8:40am at Curiosity for your child to unpack, toilet and then be ready to walk over with their friends.  Parents who have booked a place can go directly to the gym where Mrs Gliddon and Mrs Bloffwitch will meet you to organise Health Survey's for everyone who has registered.  Please ensure that you book one ticket per family member so that we are able to ensure that we are COVID-Safe.

If your child is not booked in for the day, you are welcome to still bring your child and meet us at the Gym for 9am.  You will only need to register one ticket but please add your child's name to your booking.  Thank you.

Registrations for this event will close end of day Monday so please book today if you wish to attend this event.  https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code?code=xaa7q

We look forward to sharing this event with you and will upload photos to Storypark for those who can not attend.
