Life's Hustle

Colossians 3:17

"Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One.  And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you!"

Psalm 32:8-9

"I hear the Lord saying, 'I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life.  I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide.  So don't make it difficult; don't be stubborn when I take you where you've not been before.  Don't make me tug you and pull you along.  Just come with me!"

I have been so privileged to lead this new venture called Curiosity for an entire year now.  The day that David Wilksch called me and offered me my dream job, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and praise to God.  There was no tug or pull for me as I knew that this is exactly where I was meant to be.  After a time of waiting on God, sitting under the encouragement within the Bible and being obedient with each step, the pathway lead to Curiosity.  And I LOVE IT!

Each day at Curiosity brings with it many beautiful moments of appreciation for the staff that I work with, the children that bless us with their joy and you the parents who entrust us with your children.  Greeting you at the door each morning and saying goodbye is something that delights my soul as I know that even though you won't be physically with us forever, we are creating memories daily.

In the hustle and of the busyness of life, it is very easy to get wrapped up in 'doing' that we can forget about the 'being'.  As parents I am confident that there are days where you hit autopilot and the multi-tasker within you takes over and before you know it the day of juggling you just achieved has brought you to the end of your day.  Where do the days go?

In a devotion time a few weeks ago the question was presented, "Why not try simplifying a bit?"  This question left me feeling quite uncomfortable as I didn't even know where to start.  I am a little stubborn by nature and can make life so busy for no reason other than in true reflection, I might not know what to do with my time if I took time to slow down.

What I have come to realise over this time of reflection is that I am at my creative best, the way God created me to be when I slow down and focus on one thing at a time.  How do you look when you are in that space of being your creative best?  Where in life could you deny the hustle and bustle of life and just 'be?'  I pray that you are able to find some time to slow down, breathe and find time to be guided by God in all you do.

Well, I am going to give it a go.  Over the rest of this term, there will be some days that I will be taking to deny the hustle and bustle of life and leave the very capable team at Curiosity to continue on blessing your treasured children.

On the days that I am not present, Mrs Karen Winderlich will become the Appointed Leader for the day.  If you have any concerns that require immediate addressing please speak or email Karen, alternatively you can email me and I will work through them with you on my return.

If your child is going to be away, please TEXT or CALL:  0408 226 664 before 9am daily.

Thank you for your support and care,
