6KB - INTEGRATED STUDIES

In Term 1, our Integrated Studies unit was ‘Powering Into The Future’. We focused on renewable energy sources and geographical features that influence their use. Each student chose a renewable energy source to investigate and wrote an information report on where the energy in the source comes from, how it works, as well as its strengths and limitations. Students then chose a limitation and worked on a way of addressing it. Presentations included working models, animations, dioramas and public service announcements. Some were so realistic and achievable that you may just see them in use in the future!
