Oceanic Palliative Care Conference 

10 - 13 September, 2019

Perth, Western Australia will be the venue for the biennial conference of Palliative Care Australia, and this year it will be supported by Hospice New Zealand and the International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC). We are currently looking for volunteers who will be able to help staff the APLI booth – if you can spare even a short amount of time, please contact Chris Drummond via chairman@apli.net.au

At the APLI booth, delegates will have the opportunity to meet members of our Executive Committee and colleagues with a shared interest in global palliative care. To raise much needed funds to support our activities, we will be selling copies of ‘Hippocratic’, the documentary feature film of Dr MR Rajagopal from India, together with Indian handicrafts and recycled sari bags from Rohit Memorial Trust.

Odette Spruijt will be a co-presenter of a workshop on International Collaboration on Tuesday 10 September, together with IAHPC board members Ebtesam Ahmed, Mary Callaway and Liliana De Lima.

Look out for the 3 posters being presented by members of the APLI Executive Committee, in collaboration with our Project Hamrahi partners.

The 2019 APLI annual general meeting will also occur during this conference – financial members will receive separate notification about this.
