Recycling PP5 Plastic Waste Competition

Do you have plastic plant pots, trays and plant labels stored up in your garden or garage? You can now recycle them at garden nurseries!  And the best news is, if you recycle them before 31 October, our school could win cash prizes!

To recycle is easy, just collect all your plastic pots, plant trays or plant labels, and count them up! Take a picture of your piled up goods and then send your picture and number of pots/trays/labels you are recycling and send the picture and your number of items being recycled to Yogini.Patel@education.vic.gov.au

Ms Patel will then upload your photo and stats to the schools competition site.

You can then take your PP5 items for recycling along to any participating nursery and recycle your items (the nurseries will take your items, but they are separate to the schools competition). Pinewood Nursery in Glen Waverley is one of the collection points, but you can find other nurseries that will take these items at:  https://pp5.com.au/#find

Don’t forget to send in your pictures and number of items you are recycling before the schools competition closes on Monday 31 October!

But remember, you can recycle your garden pots anytime and reduce our land fill.

Happy recycling!
