Australian Girls Choir Assessment Workshop

We've had an exceptional response to the invitation to the assessment workshop for the Australian Girls Choir. About 75 girls participated in the assessment workshop held at school today. They had fun in the assessment workshops, clapping rhythmic patterns individually, singing Happy Birthday with a friend, and they also did some dancing.

Together Sing

Our school is participating in Together Sing 2022. This inaugural program is all about music for wellbeing and celebrating the joy and wellbeing benefits of singing together. 

At EHPS, we have the joy of making music together every week in Music, but this will be an opportunity to celebrate this together with the whole school singing together, in the same month as many other children all over Australia.

The song, Where We Begin, has been specifically written and will be sung by well over 100,000 people during Queensland Mental Health Week, 8 to 16 October, and throughout the month of October.

Students in Years 2 to 6 have been learning this song in Music classes over the last few weeks in preparation for our upcoming Showcase event. At Showcase on Friday 21 October we will all sing it together as we focus on wellbeing as well as the joy of making music together.
