From the Principal
Last night, we held our Meliora Sequamur Awards ceremony and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the reasons for this year’s nominations. The evening is focused around acknowledging students that “follow the better path”, the motto of the school. It was not just about celebrating excellence but also celebrating students who have demonstrated our community’s vision and values. A special thanks to the students, Yianna and Alex, who hosted the awards and Katie Archibald and Peta Sirec for their work in organising the onsite event.
Our year 12s are now studying offsite in preparation for their final exams. Last week they had their final day of classes followed by their Celebration Day. Our Year 12s will begin their exam period this week and we hope that their efforts are well rewarded and in a few weeks when we can join them in celebrating their time at the school at their Graduation.
Last week, many of our Year 10s participated in the Real Industry Job Interviews (RIJI) that were held off site. Students had the opportunity to prepare for a real interview including wearing suitable clothing and getting valuable feedback. I am glad that they enjoyed the experience and thanks to the Middle School for their organisation.
A reminder that this weekend will be a four day weekend for our families with Monday 31 October being a student free day. We will see our students well rested on the Wednesday following the Melbourne Cup holiday.
I hope to see you at one of our end of year celebrations or events.

Principal
