NSW Health Primary School Mobile Dental Program

The NSW Health Primary School Mobile Dental Program is visiting Dundas Public School.

The Program will be delivered by experienced NSW Health staff from Western Sydney Local Health District, who will be using a combination of a fully equipped dental van and portable dental equipment set up on school grounds.

The program offers the following services:

  • Dental check up – dental assessment, oral hygiene education, height & weight measurement
  • Fluoride varnish application – If consented to, and clinically required
  • Dental x-rays - If consented to, and clinically required
  • Dental Clean - If consented to, and clinically required
  • Fissure sealants - If consented to, and clinically required

Please note: the above items do not require the use of needles or drills. Any treatment requiring these items such as fillings or extractions are performed in one of our clinic locations (Westmead or Mount Druitt Hospital). NSW Health will contact you with an appointment if this is required.

Parents/carers cannot be onsite for the assessment.

Is there a cost?

No, all costs for the above services are covered by either the Child Dental Benefits Schedule or the NSW Government.

What if my child needs further treatment?

Your child will be placed on a waiting list for the nearest public dental clinic. Alternatively, you can seek treatment with a private dentist.

Please use a blue or black pen to fill in the forms in the package. Do NOT use a lead pencil or red pen.

To participate, the ‘Dental check up’ line on the blue form must be signed.

Please return signed forms to the school by Thursday 27th October 2022 – thank you!
