Year 11 & 12 Life Skills Timber

The Year 11 and 12 Timber Support class made three projects in 2022. We began with a beautiful and functional serving tray. The students learned how to use the bandsaw, the pedestal drill and the disc sander. Students finished their products with beautiful soft varnishes such as Danish oil.

Our second project was a decorative windchime. We recycled hardwoods and metal tubing to create delightful garden ornaments which our Mums loved. 

Lastly we used timber off cuts of various shades and colours to assemble charcuterie boards. Maaz is holding his board and we had a photo shoot of the board in a natural environment. We used these over Christmas to present cheese, fruit and crackers to our families.
