Dance students at Wyndham College have high kicked 2023 off with an array of fun filled performance & educational opportunities.

On Thursday 9 February 2023 Wyndham College Dance students travelled to the Seymour Centre to view Callback. Callback is a celebration of the outstanding talent of students who presented their work as part of the 2022 Higher School Certificate Dance Practical Examinations. It is a showcase of exemplary dance performances, compositions and films presented by students from across the State, from all school systems. These presentations provide valuable insight into HSC Dance standards and outcomes for current and future dance students and teachers. This wonderful excursion allowed our students to be inspired and motivated to complete their HSC major works in 2023.

A huge student shout out & congratulations go to Jenna Cross & Aaliyah-Jane Thomas who have been successfully chosen, from a vigorous audition process, to be a part of The NSW Public Schools State Dance Ensemble. The NSW Public Schools Dance Ensemble provides expert tuition to students from across NSW Public Schools. Jenna & Aaliyah will be guided by dance industry professionals and tutors and will be provided with opportunities to perform in events such as the State Dance Festival and Schools Spectacular. This is an amazing opportunity for Aaliyah and Jenna. Wyndham College is so proud of this wonderful achievement!

Another congratulations also goes to Jenna Cross who has also been successfully chosen as a featured dance artist in PULSE Alive 2023. Pulse Alive is a large-scale event, providing high-quality opportunities in the performing arts for students and teachers from NSW Public Schools in Greater Sydney and beyond. Pulse Alive provides performance opportunities for students of all abilities from Kindergarten to Year 12. It will be held at Ken Rosewall Arena, Sydney Olympic Park, on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 March 2023 (Term 1 Week 7) at 7:30 pm. Tickets are available to purchase through Ticketmaster Australia.
