Student Wellbeing

Dear Families, Students and Community Members,

We have had a few changes in the wellbeing team so I thought this is a good opportunity to again introduce you to the Student Wellbeing Team. Katie Haywood finished her time with us last term. Katie had been at Mordialloc College for over 4 years and will be greatly missed by students and families who were linked with her. We thank Katie for her wonderful contribution to the wellbeing of students at Mordialloc College across the year levels but a specific focus for her was the Year 9 and 10 students.

Kristin Whitham joined the team at the commencement of term four. Kristin has settled in quickly to the rhythm of Mordialloc College life. Her expertise, experience and passion for supporting young people will be greatly valued as she engages with staff, students and their families.  Mel Raike Mental Health Practitioner, Youth Counsellors Michael Barbas and Harry Lee, Secondary School Nurse Pamela Johnson (currently on leave) and myself Director of Student Wellbeing are the other members of the team.

The Wellbeing Team can be accessed  via email wellbeing@mc.vic.edu.au

We also encourage students to come at recess or lunch to the wellbeing area if they would like to arrange an appointment with a member of the team.

We are very excited to have moved into our new re purposed wellbeing space. This provides greater capacity to see students for one on one counselling and general support plus available spaces for the many meetings, conversations and programs that take place in wellbeing.
