Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church. St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parishes’ ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Dear Families and Friends of St Anthony's,

Summer has certainly ended and we have arrived in Autumn.  This time of seasonal change links within the time of Lent in which we are called to change and grow.

Change is a beautiful gift that reminds us while we cannot control what

happens outside of us, we can always control the way we respond.

We have some exciting news about our Year 5/6 camp. We have been very fortunate to be able to reschedule our booking that we missed due to the COVID lockdown. Our Year 5/6 Camp will now be held on Monday 9th, until Wednesday 11th of August.

Prep and Year 5/6 Buddy BBQ

We had a wonderful time at the Prep and Year 5/6 Buddy BBQ. It was fabulous to see everyone getting to know each other and having a great time. Thank you to all who attended and a big thank you to all the staff who organised the afternoon for us.

Enhancing Catholic School Identity Survey - Your chance to win a $100 voucher for your family

Over the next few weeks our staff, students and parents and carers will be invited to complete a survey about the Catholic Identity of St Anthony’s.

The survey results will guide our future teaching, learning and faith formation in Religious Education. This year we would love to hear from as many families as we can and therefore we invite all families who wish to participate in the survey to do so.

The following options are available for families to enable them to engage in the survey.

  1. Use the information handout that has login details and instructions for completing the survey to do the survey at home (the sheet will be sent home next week for families) OR
  2. Join staff members in the Community Hub on either Wednesday 10th March between 2.30pm and 3.30pm or Monday 15th March between 9am and 10am so that we can have a coffee or tea together and assist you to complete the survey

If you would like to book please email me at erin.nagel@sanoblepark.catholic.edu.au

Once you have completed the survey, print the completion certificate, write your name, contact details, your child’s name and class on the back and bring it to the office to place into the survey competition box for a chance to win a $100 voucher for your family.

Some St Anthony's History

During the week we had a visit from Peter Malone, a former student at St Anthony's. He very kindly donated his school badge and the original St Anthony's School banner which was handmade by Sr Brigida in1956.

A reminder that the school is closed on Monday due to the Labour Day holiday.

Have a fabulous long weekend.

God Bless,
