The last two weeks the students in Prep have been using passwords to log on to the computers.  Whilst this sounds simple enough for most of us, it is a big task to achieve for the Preps.  They have been able to navigate well through letter recognition on the keyboard, using the mouse to click on the username and password boxes, check their password is correct and then click on enter.  Phew! They have achieved so much in a short period of time at school and it's been great to see the smile on their faces when they have successfully logged in.

At the other end of the school the Year 6 students have been busy creating a Cyber Safety message.  They have had to choose the theme of their message, decide on the target audience and then choose a format to present this.  There are many wide and different ways the students are looking at presenting the message, from iMovies, online quizzes, Google Sites and creating games.  I have been impressed by the way they have been engaged in their learning with this task.  In a couple of weeks they will present their work to the class.  I look forward to seeing the final product.
