'Take a Stand Against Bullying' Day

On Friday 19th March, Clyde Primary School participated in ‘Take a stand against bullying’ day. Over 1000 Victorian schools participate in this event each year and it is the key bullying prevention event for schools. It is a day where students learn what bullying is and things they can do when bullying happens.

On this day, our class has a discussion about bullying and brainstormed what we should do if someone bullies us. We also discussed what a bystander and upstander is, the differences and why it is better to be an upstander. We made chatterboxes and put strategies inside the chatterbox that we could use and we also created a powerpoint with tips about what someone can do if they are being bullied. We really enjoyed participating in this day.
