Harmony Day

On Monday 22nd March 2021, Clyde Primary School celebrated Harmony Day.

Harmony Day is when we come together to celebrate the different cultures of Australia and respect the countries from around the world. Last Monday all students were encouraged to wear a ‘splash’ of orange which is the official colour of Harmony Day. This colour signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It relates to the freedom of our ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.

During one of our Harmony Day activities, our teacher painted a map of Earth and all the students traced their hands. On the hands we drew pictures different things that represented our culture. We also made hashtag posts. Our hashtag was #food#world#wearasplashoforange.
