What a talented musician!
Edgar's (3/4C) original composition, titled "Spy Games", was chosen to represent Australia in the Yamaha International Highlight Concert (YIHC) Selection 2020. Due to the pandemic, the YIHC was held online last year. The online series is a collection of outstanding performances and/or compositions, showcasing the talents of Yamaha Music School students worldwide.

La composition originale d’Edgar (3/4C) intitulée « Spy Games » a été sélectionnée pour représenter l’Australie au concert des talents de Yamaha, édition 2020. Le concert de l’an dernier fut diffusé en ligne exceptionnellement. La série en ligne est une collection de performances et/ou de compositions qui se démarquent par leur excellence, elle met en avant les talents des élèves de l’école de musique Yamaha aux quatre coins de la planète.

Air AEFE Project.
Nos élèves de 6ème des classes bilingues ont aussi participé au concours AEFE sur le thème de l'air avec des créations originales et calligrammes sur le thème imposé.

Our Grade 6 bilingual students have taken part in the 'Air' AEFE project, sending original creations and calligrammes related to the competition theme.

Our Prep students took part in the AEFE competition organised by the Lycee Condorcet in Sydney. They had to create something around the following theme: “The Air”. After brainstorming ideas, they chose to create their own kookaburra with wood, leaves, mud and sand that they found outside. We wish our Preps good luck for the competition!
Nos élèves de Grande Section ont participé à un concours de l’AEFE organisé par le Lycée Condorcet à Sydney. Le thème imposé pour leur création était « l’air ». Ils ont échangé des idées et ont finalement décidé de créer leur propre kookaburra avec des bouts de bois, des feuilles, de la boue et du sable qu’ils ont trouvés à l’extérieur.Nous leur souhaitons bonne chance pour la compétition.

Belonging
This week, the Stein Stingrays (34A) were immersed in a session discussing the notion of ‘belonging’. Students were asked to respond to questions including: What does it mean to belong? What does it feel like to belong? What communities do I belong to? How can we help others to belong? Students worked in groups to document their thoughts, as well as acting them out, in an impromptu play! Well done Stingrays!
Cette semaine, les élèves de Mr Stein (Stingrays 34A) se sont engagés dans une discussion sur la notion d’ « appartenance ». On a demandé aux enfants de répondre à des questions telles que : Comment définir la notion d’appartenance ? Comment on se sent quand on fait partie d’un groupe ? Dans quelles communautés appartenons-nous ? Comment peut-on aider les autres à se sentir inlcus ? Les élèves ont fait du travail en équipes pour documenter leurs idées, ils ont même joué leurs émotions dans une petite pièce de théâtre impromptue. Bravo les Stingrays !

Our Class of 2021 Bomber Jackets have arrived! This is an exciting time for our senior students as they journey through their final year of primary education. They look fantastic!
Nos élèves de 6ème ont reçu leur veste « Class of 2021 » ! C’est un évènement important pour nos grands alors qu’ils complètent leur dernière année d’école primaire. Ils sont magnifiques !

Lightning Premiership
On a scorching Autumn day,
the Caulfield Junior College cricketers bowled and batted their way
through a round robin tournament at Caulfield Park.
Wickets were taken and 6s were hit
as students tested their skills against other schools in the district.
