Welcome to Triple M: the Mental Maths Moment!   

 

You have entered an exciting new area, specifically for our budding mathematicians. Each fortnight there will be an engaging mental Maths problem that you can discuss and work out with your family members. 

 

The first student to email me the correct answer will earn a point into the end of term prize draw.  

 

Junior question - Year 7, 8 and 9

 

Two apples have the same mass as a banana and a cherry.  A banana has the same mass as nine cherries. How many cherries have the same mass as one apple?  

 

Senior Question - Year 10, 11 and 12

 

Find four consecutive numbers such that the sum of the first three numbers is twelve more than the fourth number.
