Shepparton Schools Rugby 7s Day – 2017

On Friday 9th June, 40 students from Wanganui attended the Rugby 7s day at Vibert Reserve. The day was run by Melbourne Rebels Rugby Union Club. The boys were meant to play against other Shepparton schools but ended up having some practice and trial matches against each other. There was more time allocated to coaching and learning the game which was a great experience for the students. The next stage will be a competition day in Melbourne on Wednesday August 2nd. We will take two teams down and compete against schools from around Victoria. Jaron Timbol (U14) and Jake Butcher (U16) were recognised by the coaches as the best players for the day and were given prizes for their efforts.
