The Shepparton Education Plan is looking at how we can improve education for young people from early learning, through primary and secondary school, and beyond.
Pamphlets and postcards inviting members of the community to have a say in the future direction of education in Shepparton should have arrived via the mail and your child.
Please take the time to visit the website at: www.engage.vic.gov.au/SheppartonEducationPlan and complete the survey. Your opinion counts!
You can also register to attend a community workshop and everyone is welcome.

Reports for all students from Years 7 through 12 will be available on our XUNO portal on Thursday, 29th June. We urge all parents and guardians to access these reports soon after and read them with their child. Remember this will be your first exposure to our new reporting format which contains much information without actual comments. We intend to run a survey next term to gauge your response to these reports.
Term 3 is usually our coldest term by far. So it is vital that our students, your children, are kept as warm as possible to support their learning. To this end, the school is going to great lengths to improve our heating systems in all classrooms. However we cannot control the outside conditions. So we ask all parents and guardians to ensure correct school attire is worn that will keep your child warm when outside. A white or black T-Shirt underneath the school shirt can make a big difference. Then supported by a school jumper, shower jacket or tek-fleece jacket, or a combination of these, will see students handle the cold conditions well. We have a very strict rule about hoodies – these are not permitted. We thank you for your understanding with this issue.
It has been a few years since we reviewed our uniform policy. So next term Mr Tanner will be leading a committee comprised of students, parents and teachers to look at possible changes and improvements to our current uniform code. We wish to keep this committee to a total of 10 with Mr Tanner the chair supported by 3 parents, 3 teachers and 3 students. If you are interested in being part of this committee, please contact Mr Tanner at the school. The meetings will take place at lunchtimes at the school on a day to be decided.
Our final Presentation Ball for 2017 will be held on Friday 30th June at Eastbank. I would like to wish all the students involved and their families a great night.
Grade 6 selections in regard to enrolment into secondary schools for 2018 are in the process of being finalised. We will receive this information next Friday 30th June and we aiming for an intake of 208.
As you are aware, nominations are now open for past students to be considered for our Hall of Fame. Details are on the School News page. Please consider nominating those who have gone to achieve success since their time at Wanganui Park Secondary College.
