Ash Wednesday

Yesterday our primary students and staff joined with Deacon Paul, Fr Ross O'Brien and parishioners for our Ash Wednesday Mass. Ash Wednesday signals the start of Lent. For forty days we are asked to reflect on ourselves and how we can be better and do better. The three elements for a change of heart include prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Our Infant students also had the opportunity to take part in a special liturgy and receive the ashes. Thank you to Fr O'Brien for celebrating this Mass with us and to Mrs Sally Clarke and Mrs Amy Willis for organising both of these special events.
