Wominjeka everyone

Just a reminder that on Monday the 4th of November (before Melbourne Cup) is a Free Student Day and we will provide All Day OSHC if the minimum number required is reached.

Bookings are now open for the Student Free Day through QK Enrol or My Family Lounge App. The session will run from 7:30am to 6pm, and the cost will be $75 for the day (eligible for CCS) and will include all food, snacks and activities.

As a guide if you are eligible for CCS:

If your CCS is 85% - out pocket costs would be approx. 11.25

If your CCS is 50% - out pocket costs would be $37.5

If your CCS is 20% - out pocket costs would be approx. $60

Bookings will close on Monday the 28th October 2019, as we need final numbers for staffing and catering purposes. A cancellation fee of $35 will apply for cancellations after 29th of October unless a medical certificate is supplied.

Please note that a minimum number of children is required in order to run the session. This means the session will be confirmed on Tuesday 29th of October.

If the session goes ahead information regarding activities planned and what your child needs to bring will be emailed to families who have made bookings closer to the day.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Bernadetta.

Circus Incursion:

Tara and Joh kept things moving quickly with the acrobatic skills, bringing out plate spinning, then hula hoops, then the big mats and ensuring children and constantly engaged and challenged. It was a good workout, and everybody sat down afterward for a nice chat.

Cooking Club: Pizza

Students had a new challenge this week, especially for our Juniors: Reading and follow instructions on how to make the perfect dough for pizza! Students used their numeracy skills to measure their ingredients with different size of cups.

Jacobs Reserve Excursion:

Last Thursday, while discussing the tawny frogmouth who lives in Jacobs Reserve we located it sleeping in the tree next to the swings.

The students practiced their climbing skills on the play equipment but the more popular option was climbing the huge Cypress tree.
