grade 1 campfire night

On October 30th Grade 1 students are invited to attend the BNWPS annual Grade 1 Campfire night. This event has been added to the camp program to help prepare students for school camps that will be happening as they progress through their Primary school years. It aims to help improve your child's independence, teamwork, safe risk-taking, getting in touch with nature, bush skills, making new friendships etc.

The event will be taking place from 5:30 - 8:30pm. The plan for the event is the following:

5:30 - 6:00 - Sausage Sizzle

6:00 - 7:40 - Rotational activities (PE games, Hut Building, Treasure Hunt)

7:40 - 8:20 - Campfire activities (campfire stories and songs, marshmallows)

8:20 - 8:30 - Pick up students from undercover area

On the night a sausage sizzle (2 sausages in bread or vegetarian equivalent) and marshmallows for the campfire will be provided.

If there are any concerns or questions, please contact your child's classroom teacher.

music performance

All the Middle & Senior classes will be sharing some songs that they've been learning in their class bands next week.

The Middles will be on Monday, 28th Oct at 2:30pm.

The Seniors will be on Thursday, 31st Oct at 2:30pm.

The performance will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room after lunch, and we will try to start the music as close to 2:30pm as possible.

Parents, carers and anyone else is invited to come along and watch. Although this event is mainly for the students to share their songs with each other. The main performing arts event that we would love everyone to attend will be the end of term Art Attak!

volunteering @ BNW

We pride ourselves for our sense of belonging as it is beneficial for everyone. Family involvement in school strengthens our young people's connection to their education, it demonstrates the community connection many families choose our school for and helps us provide the best educational program and environment possible. In an attempt to better communicate with those interested in volunteering, the school is trying to build a volunteer register. We would love all family members to complete this short survey to help us collect this information. All information will be kept private and no one will be asked to commit to any volunteer work in the survey.

There are so many different ways to become involved in your child's education and we love it when you want to get involved, but we must remind all family members that Working with Children Check cards are required by law.
