A Mother's Day Prayer

Please take a moment to stop and pray on this most different of Mother's Days

for our Mother's, Grandmother's, Aunts, neighbours and special friends who care for us all. You may like to say the prayer and then watch our Mums on the Mother's Day video attached to the Assembly Flexibuzz.

Dear God,

My Mother is a special gift,

A special gift that God gave to me.

Thank-you God for giving me such a loving Mother,

Bless our mothers with wisdom to teach and guide their children

in a way that will help them to follow You.

Give all mothers the patience to deal with life's difficulties

and, most of all, give them a special blessing as

they care so lovingly for the gifts that You have allowed them the honor of raising.

On this special day set aside to honor mothers we ask for a

special touch from the Lord for each and every one of our mothers.

May each mother be granted a special blessing,

and may all of the work of her hands not be forgotten in Your sight.

Let her example to her children be a guiding force in their lives,

and may wisdom be passed down to the next generation of mothers.
