Welcome Picnic

The P&F kicked off the year with a school-wide Welcome Picnic. Somehow we managed to dodge the wet weather of the days before although we had to relocate from the PAC quadrangle to the MYC and oval. We were delighted with the turnout of families from Junior and Middle/Senior Schools. Ably assisting with the barbeque tools were HT staff including Principal Mr Andrew Houghton and Head of Junior School Dr Helen McDonald, together with Mr Rob Kitchingman and Mrs Sandra Tiepermann with her Year 9 Coffee Cart and barista team. A wonderful evening was enjoyed by all. Fine musical talent was on display from numerous students who performed for the families present. The P&F sincerely thanks everyone who made this evening yet another community success – there was again a genuine feeling of warmth and love throughout.

Particular thanks go to the student performers who provided the atmosphere, to Mr Jan Blazejczak for recruiting for and organising the performance program, to Mrs Tiepermann and team for the fantastic coffee, to Mr Evan Pugh for providing the sound stage, to the HT leadership for providing barbeque manpower and to our amazing P&F team for the camaraderie. Once again, a very warm welcome on behalf of the P&F to all new and returning HT families! We look forward to seeing you around the school during 2020.
