The Premier’s Reading Challenge will conclude on Friday 3rd September, so students have just over a month to complete their set number of books:
- K - Year 2 30 books
- Years 3 - 9 20 books.
Please ensure that all books have been entered by this date or earlier. If you are having any difficulties please don’t hesitate to send me an email so I can help.
BOOK WEEK
When: Monday 23rd August - Friday 27th August
BOOK FAIR
This year’s Book Fair will be closed to parents due to the Covid restrictions placed upon school environments at this time. All students will be given a chance to view the range of books for sale.

BOOK WEEK PARADE
When: Friday 27th August
Unfortunately this year due to COVID restrictions, this will be a closed event meaning parents are unable to attend. However, the parade will be recorded and made accessible to parents.
What: students are to dress up as their favourite book character. Book Vouchers will be awarded per grade for the best costume.
Costumes will be judged on the following criteria:
*Is the costume from a book?
*Creativity – Was the costume made creatively, colourfully, and does it show personality?
*Originality – Does the costume stand out from the rest?
*Effort – Did the costume take time and effort?
*Authenticity – How accurate and thorough is the costume to the character?

BOOKS WITH BUDDIES
When: Friday 27th August, straight after the Book Week Parade
Where: in the quadrangle
What: in groups, students will be placed in groupos and will rotate around teachers and select secondary students who will be reading their chosen book from our library. Students will have the opportunity to listen to 3-4 books being read.
