Understanding Anxiety and How to Reduce the Impact

The following article on, ‘Managing your Anxiety through COVID-19’ came across my desk recently.  Although we are not currently in a lock down, we have recently been there. In addition, the severe storm that hit on the evening of Wednesday 9th June has greatly impacted some of our school community and possibly some of our family and/or friends as well. One stress upon another can increase anxiety without our being aware of it.

The coming school term break may provide an opportunity to check in on those we care about who have been affected by these two recent crises. In addition, we might check in on ourselves and note how we are managing as well.

The ‘Managing your Anxiety through COVID-19’ article contains a very helpful explanation about what anxiety is and the impact it can have on us. It also contains useful information on ways to reduce the impact of anxiety in adults as well as students.

It is my hope that you enjoy doing some different things during this term break and recommence term 3 feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Stay safe and keep well,
