Term 3 - Specialist

Term 3 is an exciting term for learning in our Specialist areas. Firstly, Music, Drama and Visual Arts programs are deepened in all learning with the Inquiry thread across the school being “Communication through the Arts”.  Secondly, with the School Production scheduled there is a focus for the learners to express themselves to an audience in a variety of ways including; movement, (individually and in a group), costumes and stage design, and musical performance. This is developed while building an understanding of legends from other countries.

The Olympic Games in Tokyo is stimulating learning for Health and Physical Education in GWPS. It provides a tremendous opportunity to our learners, not only to introduce different sports by athletes from all parts of the world, but it can provide our learners with real-life examples of families, positive thinking, application, and effort that can inspire others. 

LOTE will continue to build communication in Mandarin linked to Inquiry learning but will also develop an understanding of Chinese culture that can be transferred to understanding cultures from around the whole including countries represented in the Olympic Games.
