Co-curricular - Junior Sport

This weekend brings the Junior School Winter sport season to a close. After this Saturday there will be no further training for any Junior School Winter teams. I wish all the boys all the best for their final games. Let us finish on a positive note that is focused on putting together one last complete performance. In doing this, win, lose or draw you can walk off the field with your head held high. Most importantly, take to the field with the intention of having fun with your mates and enjoy your last game for the season.

Afternoon training will recommence in Term 4, coinciding with the resumption of the Summer sport season for the Junior School. All boys involved in Summer sports in Term 1 are expected to fulfil their commitments to the same teams in Term 4. Draft draws for Term 4 will be posted shortly for families to plan ahead. Please be aware that the draw will only be a draft and subject to change in Term 4.

While there is a break between the end of the Winter season and the start of the Summer, there are a handful of boys that will be spending this time training and preparing to represent the College in Athletics. The Junior School will compete in four carnivals, consisting of three invitational carnivals, and the season culminating with the IPSHA Carnival. Boys performing well at the IPSHA Carnival may go on to further representative honors. We wish all the boys involved all the best for the upcoming season.

Cultural Co-Curricular photos will be taken on Monday 21 August. Boys involved from the Junior School will need to wear their full College Winter uniform for the photos. The Blue Cap is not to be worn in the photos. All photos will be held after school between 3:15 PM and 4:45 PM. The boys from Chess, Debating, Junior School Justice Group and Theatre Sports will all be given their times for photos. Along with all those students involved in bands and ensembles. Sport Co-curricular photos will be taken in September and details will be released closer to the date.

I look forward to seeing all the boys take to the fields this weekend and wish all players and coaches the best of luck.
