All other Football teams will play fixtures up to and including Saturday 12 August.

Athletics Squad Training will commence next Monday 7 August in the afternoon. Students are to meet at Breen Oval. For the next two weeks Athletics training will take place on Monday afternoons 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM and Wednesday mornings 7:00 AM to 8:10 AM.

Those boys who nominated to be a part of the Athletics squad who are currently involved in a Winter sport are required to attend one of these sessions. Those students not involved in a Winter sport are expected to attend both Monday afternoon and Wednesday mornings training session in preparation for the first Invitational Carnival on Saturday 26 August.

Summer Sport Sign-ups

Summer sign-ups for Baseball, Basketball and Cricket will be conducted in the coming weeks. I would encourage boys to speak with their parents/carers about the commitment required to be involved in a Summer sport. May I remind all parents/carers and boys that these sign-ups represent a binding commitment to the entire season.

The Summer sports trials commence later this term with ISA Basketball and Cricket fixtures commencing in Term 4 while NDJCA Cricket and RHBL Baseball fixtures usually commencing in September. All competitions have concluded by Week 7, Term 1 2023.

Coaches Wanted

The College wishes to invite anyone who would be available to assist with coaching over the coming Summer season. Coaches are sought for Basketball, Baseball and Cricket in both the Junior and Senior Schools. Preference will be given to those who have coaching qualifications and have had previous experience in coaching boys. Please email your expression of interest to me (anthony.calavassy@spc.nsw.edu.au) by Friday 25 August.

Western Sydney Wolves Basketball Grand Final Win

The College wishes to congratulate Nicolas Crisafulli (Year 9), Matthew Simurina (Year 9), and Dylan Lapid (Year 9) for their achievements in Basketball.

Playing for Western Sydney Wolves, on Sunday 23 July, these three St Patrick’s students were successful in winning the Under 16 Representative Basketball Grand Final against Springwood Scorchers.

The boys worked hard all season on the court while meeting their school Winter sport Co-curricular commitments.

I am sure they will bring this hard work and drive to the upcoming St Patrick’s Basketball season.
