Community Garden
In the holidays, Curiosity was acknowledge as an official Green Adelaide site based on our work with the children on sustainable practices, the teams diligence in managing waste and our aspiration goals for our Community Garden. Naomi Findley from Green Adelaide presented us with our sign which is now proudly displayed at the entrance of our Community Garden.
We acknowledge the work that Mrs Vanessa has been doing with Naomi as we prepare to get final approval from the Education Standards Board to commence work on the site.
As we await approval the Blue Team continue to explore the importance of a Community Garden and the values that the children hold about this place we call Curiosity. Their inquiry is focused on gathering the perspective of all stakeholders including the Green and Orange team learners through the use of media and data collection. We look forward to sharing this with you.
Alongside this, we are working with Naomi to identify some indigenous native plants that we can add to our existing green space and projections for planting within the Community Garden. Shortly an invitation will be sent out to all families to join us at the Provenance Indigenous Plants to choose and purchase our plants and then plant them.
Stay tuned on how you can get involved with your child.
