Parents' voice

Thank you to all the volunteers!
We raised approximately $2000 at the Bastille Day celebrations last week. Again, a thank you to all the volunteers and crepe makers who assisted on the day.
The money that the PC raises is used to assist the school to pay for additional items and capital works such as playground/sandpit works, 10 new garden beds for the STEM program, the annual Grade 6 year books and the new library shelves funded in 2022.
NAIDOC week: We raised $233.75 for VACCA at the end of Term 2 pains aux chocolat sale and this amount will be donated to VACCA to fund their programs that assist indigenous children to connect with their culture: www.vacca.org
The NED Show is coming to CJC to highlight resilience via yo-yos, and we will shortly be asking for some parent volunteers to sell yo-yos at the school so that CJC can pass on this free event to the next school: www.theNEDshow.com
2023 September School Arts Festival: The School has an ambitious Arts festival planned for Friday 8, 2023 from 2.30 – 6.30. CJC Families, the PC is looking to provide catering options for this event and others throughout the year. Do you or your family work in the industry or can help us provide a solution, or have you seen something at another event that you would like to see at CJC? Don’t be shy…we’re hungry to hear from you!
Band/Orchestra @ CJC: Correction: We are looking for a band/orchestra leader? There is some interest for starting a school band/orchestra at CJC, but we are looking for a parent who would be interested in setting up a Choir at CJC. WWCC is required.
Volunteering: The Parent’s Committee will now use the Sign-Up online platform to manage and streamline volunteering at the school. In terms 3 and 4 we have a number of events planned where parent volunteers are needed and we hope that this new platform and advance notice will assist families to better plan when they might be able to volunteer at school: https://signup.com/go/hdjNbBk
Friday Treats: Pains au Chocolate from Reverie café will be offered for $4 each.
