Student Achievement Awards - 7/8/2023

Chaviv, your work ethic in Writing this week has been amazing! You planned a very entertaining story about a snake who came to visit. It was great to see you using your sounds to help you with your spelling. 

Alexa, this week you have worked so hard to have a positive growth mindset in Writing lessons. You showed resilience when writing your personal narrative about the princess who knocked on your door. You were talking positively to yourself and not giving up! Keep on shining!

Brodie you have worked so hard this week! Well done for starting your story with so much detail. You thought so carefully about different adjectives you could use to describe your character and setting. I can't wait to read the rest of it - I'm sure it will be flying off of shelves! 

Abby, congratulations on a great story you are writing. You have thought of a great problem and then how to solve it using your characters magic powers. You also have used some great descriptive words in your writing. Keep it up!

Shihali, you have worked so hard on your narrative! You used interesting adjectives, and came up with a very creative problem and solution. You have made a huge effort to produce a higher volume of work, even after being away for the beginning of the task. Keep up the great work!

Well done Kohshi on the excellent start you made to your narrative draft this week. You used onomatopoeia and adjectives in the beginning of your story to help 'set the scene' for your readers. I can't wait to read the whole story! Keep it up!

Charlotte, you have shown great resilience and dedication to catch up on the writing process after your holiday. You used descriptive language to describe the character and setting in the beginning of your story. It's great to see you thinking about how you will keep the reader entertained. Well done!

Congratulations Meagan for displaying the SSPS values of responsibility and respect during our excursion to the Melbourne Museum last week. You are a wonderful role model for your peers. Well done!

Congratulations Anvika on your wonderful presentation to the class showing your work for the Science Talent Search. You spoke clearly and gave detailed information about your project. You were able to make eye contact with the audience and answer questions about your beautiful photos. Well done Anvika. 

Congratulations Kiaan on your positive attitude and lively participation towards all class playscript sessions. You frequently immersed yourself into full character mode, making each character come to life through your realistic facial and body expressions, voice variations and projection. You have kept the class entertained and have shown that you have a talent for theatrical performance. Way to go!

Congratulations Harini on your excellent attitude and the manner in which you represented Syndal South Primary School when we visited the Melbourne Museum this week. You demonstrated our school value of curiosity and were able to recall many interesting facts that you learnt, including that Ballee is a type of plant used by First Nations people to make spears.

Congratulations Dor Dor on displaying such a kind and welcoming nature to our new students. You have definitely shown our school value of care by being inclusive. You have also been terrific at staying organised and ensuring that your homework is completed each and every week. Keep up the fantastic work!

Congratulations Shuban. You always demonstrate an independent and self-motivated work ethic and kind nature. You showed great growth in how to make connections between different texts and real world situations. Keep up the fantastic work!
