Snow Excursion

On 27/07 TSC’s Y12 Outdoor and Environmental Studies class went on a day trip to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. It was an extremely long and tiring day packed full of activities to allow students to make the most out of what was, for many, their first time at the snow.

The bus departed TSC at 6.30 am and returned at 8.00 pm. The first part of the day at Lake Mountain was a 2-hour ski lesson, which was more difficult than the students were expecting. Lots of falls and lots of laughter ensued, with all students challenging themselves as they improved their skiing abilities. After lunch, we took part in 1 hour of toboggan runs and 1 hour of environmental talk to provide students with some important information that could be used for their upcoming assessment tasks.

Students thoroughly enjoyed this opportuning despite the long hours, creating special memories in what was their final excursion/camp as part of the VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies program.
