Primary Life

Hands-on Science Incursion

Danny Lupi - Year 5 Team Leader

Our talented Year 5s experienced an exciting incursion, where students explored how natural disasters occur and learnt about the forces that control our planet’s geography.

They investigated tornadoes, the earth’s spin, tectonic plates, and model volcanic activity under the water.

This incursion challenged the students to think about how sudden geological changes can affect the earth’s surface. The knowledge they have gathered will equip them to begin making their natural disaster models.

100 Days Left of Primary

Harry Foster - Year 6 Team Leader

Last week, the Year 6 students celebrated ‘100 Days Left of Primary.’ Novel and enjoyable, this Term 3 community day involved 104 students and four staff dressing up as 100-year-olds, greying their hair and playing games that included croquet, Bocce and darts.

One of the highlights of the day included the long tradition of planting 100 tress along the school boundary. The gardening was messy, purposeful fun designed to bless future generations of students with a richer environment.

The '100 Days Left of Primary' celebration was an unforgettable experience, and we look forward to many more cherished moments as we approach the end of this wonderful journey together.
