Learning, growing and celebrating together...
Dear Sacred Heart Kew Families,
Last week our youngest children raised the bat, 100 days not out. And wow did they party…
It was just like the Grammy Awards, car after car rolling in, our Prep rockstars jumping out, wearing their finest 100 day t-shirts, sporting wide smiles and ready for action. If they weren’t being escorted into the school grounds they were ‘fast jogging’ through the gates, congregating at the Prep lines, speaking excitedly about the day ahead, comparing each other’s get up.
Now, let’s get back to those t-shirts. 100 Safety pins, sports balls, smiley faces, soft animals, cars, eye balls, shapes, ice cream and lollies, feathers and coloured wool balls, colourful stickers and even hearts with 100 dots. Every 100 days of Prep t-shirt made with oodles of love and care, unique designs, every single creation.
The day was filled with cupcakes, craft activities, counting collections of 100 items, crown making, buddy cards, chats and hugs. There was even a whole school musical rehearsal thrown in after lunch for good measure. It was a very special day.
But please don’t just take it from me. You really need to hear it from the source. Here are a few of the reviews from our 100 day older, 100 day brighter Prep children, outlining exactly what they thought the BEST thing was about their BIG celebration.
Celebrating - decorating the cookies
Making the shirts - it was so much fun
The cup tower
Seeing the decorations when we walked into the classroom
Receiving the special card and smarties from Pauline
Eating the treats
Having the smarties
Seeing our buddies
Making the crowns
Having the parents helping us
Making the necklaces
Writing the 100 words
The game up to 100
CONGRATULATIONS to all our 100 day older and brighter Prep children. What a FABULOUS achievement. You have made us all so very proud in your first 100 days of school. We cannot wait to see what you get up to in your next 100.
WELL DONE to our fantastic and inspiring teachers and support staff for all their hard work, support and guidance of our 2023 Prep children.
MANY THANKS to our Prep parents for all your support of us here at Sacred Heart Kew.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend, and as our 100+ day old Prep children like to say, have a ‘happy happy dappy day!
Kind Regards,
Ed Weekes
