YEAR 7 REFLECTION DAY 

This Wednesday our Year 7 students enjoyed their Reflection Day experience with ‘Just Motivation’, led by Guest Presenter Az Hamilton. Az has an incredible ability to connect with young people through stories and personal experiences spent both overseas and within Australian communities. His message inspired our students to live a life worth getting excited about through his program entitled ‘Connections’. Year 7 journeyed through the program; discovering more about themselves, their relationships with members of their year group, and their relationship with God. 

PROJECT COMPASSION  - “FOR ALL FUTURE GENERATIONS" 

Next week Ash Wednesday will launch our Project Compassion campaign. Spanning across the six weeks of Lent each year, Project Compassion brings our community together to raise funds for people living in some of the most vulnerable communities across the world. Contributing to this campaign is a beautiful way that we can live out our Lenten promise. 

PARISH YOUTH MASS

We welcome everyone to our first Parish Youth Mass on Sunday 6 March 2022 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church. Students lead the liturgy with the Mater Dei Primary School and Sacred Heart Primary School communities.

FAREWELL

I’d love to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support I have received from our community in my role as Leader of Mission. I commence Maternity Leave on Monday and I welcome Mrs Millie Bright back to the role who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise with her, for the remainder of 2022.

PRAYER FOR LENT

God as we prepare to begin our time of Lent, open the doors of our hearts and our minds. Empower us to move beyond our own world to see you in the faces of the poor. 

Give us the courage to be different and to share what we have. 

May our actions during Lent help to renew the world in your ways of peace and justice. 

We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen
