Introducing a new segment in St Norbert News created by College Sports Captain Holly Giles . . .

Canons Spotlight! is a series of posters that will be published in each edition of SNN and then put up around the ORC, featuring students talking about their sport of choice. The 'stars' of the posters are not only our elite athletes but a mix of year groups, codes and abilities, including sporting pursuits both in and outside of school, with the focus firmly on fun.

"Last year I started making plans to do video interviews about what had happened in that week of sport,'' Holly said. "But with the postponement of SASj, the Inter-House Swimming Carnival and other competitions I had to think of something else. "Turning interviews into posters meant it was not a lost opportunity and it was Covid safe.''

Kicking off the first round of Canons Spotlights posters is Year 12 skateboarder Victor Ho; Year 10 basketballer Shanyka Parker and Year 8 footballer and cricketer Lachlan Charlton.

"Next time I will do a Year 7, 9 and 11,'' Holly says.
