First Aid VR Incursion

On Monday the Year 5 students took part in a VR First Aid incursion. This was a very engaging follow up to a more traditional First Aid incursion held two weeks prior.

Masks

I wish to thank the parents for their tremendous support and encouragement regarding the proactive step to have the Junior School boys wear masks during lessons at school. After a hot and trying initiation last week, the boys are getting more accustomed to wearing their masks this week. I wish to thank the teachers also for their positive encouragement and reminders to the boys to continue to wear their masks appropriately.

Year 5 Green Mass

This morning, Year 5 Green celebrated a class Mass. Thank you to Mr Tony Maxfield who prepared the students and Fr Oscar for leading the mass, it was a lovely service.

Ash Wednesday

Next week, the season of Lent commences with Ash Wednesday. The boys will be holding liturgies in their respective classes.

On Monday this week in the Year 6 classes there was a writing incursion. A lady from the Fremantle Literature Centre came into our classes and taught us how to write better narratives.

On Tuesday Hymn singing was cancelled because of COVID and the restrictions. All the Year 4s got to do science with our special teacher from SciTech and they got to make slime.

On Wednesday we did sport in the morning. The choir kids from Year 6 got to go to choir. The Year 6 Blue and 6 Green opened the classes up so we could work together on the kite project. The Year 6s got to do science and got to do the rusty nail project.

On Thursday we versed Hale in the PSA school tournament. All the teams played really well, and the tennis pulled off to win. The Year 4s were practicing for their Basketball Carnival that is next week!

On Friday the Year 6 Blue class got to meet Mr O’Malley’s sport class and they got to do different sports. We can’t do assemblies with the whole Junior School because of the restrictions of COVID, so we have to go to each individual class to hand out the awards.
