Class Updates

Year 6 BAD Excursion

On Wednesday, Year 6 students attended the Brauer College production of ‘Infected’. It was a terrific production with some amazing talent on display. We were really proud of our past students who all did very well to keep us on the edge of our seats! Thank you to the Brauer College team for organising such a terrific event and making it available to our students. We had a great time!

Sunny - Animal Assisted Intervention

Students in 3A have worked with Sunny in the classroom this week and have learnt how to interact and behave around her in a safe way. Students shared clear expectations that need to be followed when Sunny is present in the room. They have shown great listening skills and appropriate behaviour to allow Sunny to remain calm and comfortable in a new environment. In turn, Sunny has been working hard listening to students read, receiving pats, providing a sense of calm for all and performing her best tricks.

Sunny has also been busy meeting new students in the Cottage this week with Jess and will continue to do so for the remainder of the year. Students have worked well with Sunny, and some have even had the chance to reward her with her favourite treats, carrots and apples.

Please remember not to run towards, crowd or ask to pat Sunny if you see her at school. Please help her succeed in her new working role at the school by doing this.
