Instrumental Music Program

Michael Almery - Instructional Coach

As we head further into the year, our Instrumental Music Program continues to grow steadily with about 5% of the school's population now enrolled in co-curricular lessons on an instrument of their choice - a huge effort post-Covid - indeed! Our goal is to continue building up to a target of 10% which is our ultimate goal, so if you have been considering enrolling your child into music lessons now is a great time for a Term 3 start.

We have a number of promising young students undertaking lessons in voice, guitar, piano, drums (places available), and violin (places available). We also offer other string instruments, as well as brass, too. We have our ensemble program where instrumentalists are invited to be a part of a larger group which includes the College Choir, Guitar Ensemble, and we are looking to establish a Junior Rock Band and Youth Band for all liturgical events (sign-ups in Holy Family Performing Arts Centre).

We have our annual CLC Lunchtime Concert Series for winter about to begin, and in Term 3 there will be more opportunities for performances including evening shows at the Graduates' Restaurant on-site, so stay tuned!
