Year 8 Drama

Clint Bolster of Hommunculus Theatre Company presented an enjoyable, skills-based drama  workshop for Year 8 Drama students for their unit Theatre for Young People on Tuesday 16 May.  Clint is a clown, physical actor, mask theatre specialist, and physical theatre actor.  He is an international artist who has performed worldwide in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, United Kingdom, and Europe, and was recently accepted into the Cirque Du Soleil database of clowns as well as being in the 2022/2023 Australian Tour of Slava Snow Show.

This week, Clint conducted an acting workshop to develop dynamic performance skills to prepare students for a performance for our audience of Molly’s House children in Week 7.  Our Year 8 class feedback was that the workshop guided the class about how to entertain and engage a young audience.  It was an enjoyable and energetic workshop filled with laughter.

I could really see the growth in dynamic performance and confidence of the class at the end of the two-hour workshop.
