Sports News

It's been a busy term for the sports team so far!  We are now past the halfway point of Term 2 but still have events coming up in the remaining weeks of term. If you don't want to miss out, make sure to check SIMON and emails for tryout and training days!

Well done to all students who have taken part in recent Campaspe and Loddon Mallee events.  All students should be super proud of the way they have represented our school! Let's keep up the great work and keep having some fun!

Primary Campaspe Cross Country

A great day out with some of our Years 4-6 students was held at the Campaspe Cross Country at Jack Eddy Oval in Moama. All the kids ran their hearts out in front of a crowd and had a smile on their faces!

Congratulations to Mason K, Aidan G, Alby H and Archie S who finished within the top 12 runners in their age groups, meaning they have a spot at the regional event in St Arnaud.

All students should be proud of their efforts and how they represented the school!

Secondary Campaspe Cross Country

On Friday 19th May, some of our secondary students attended the 7-12 Campaspe Cross Country. The students all participated to a high standard granting some the opportunity to compete at a regional level at St Arnaud next week.

Congratulations to Ethan G, Bas C, Sam B, Charlie P, Antonio D, Hugh C, Cooper O, Jack C, Bill H, Jim H, Charlotte R and Miley M who placed in the top 15 runners and have a chance to run in St Arnaud.

All students showed dedication and great sportsmanship throughout the day! Well done to everyone!

Years 9/10 Badminton

It was a chilly day in Eaglehawk for the 9/10 boys Regional Badminton. The boys started the day with a close loss to Marist College, but redeemed themselves by beating Charlton. They then went on to lose the next two rounds to Chaffey and Swan Hill. Our students enjoyed the day and were full of enthusiasm!

Loddon Mallee Year 8 Tennis

On Wednesday the 25th of May, Shylee, Penny, Miley and Mia played off for a spot in the Year 8 girls state tennis finals against Girton Grammar. It was a hotly contested matchup. After the six rounds it was tied at three sets each, meaning Girton were victorious on a games count back 18-15. Well played girls!

Year 8 Basketball

On Monday our Year 8 Boys basketball team went off to Echuca with Makenzie and Coach Boyle. The boys first faced their toughest team, St Joe's Echuca and couldn't come away with the win in the end.

They then faced Kyabram P-12 who they defeated, finishing the game with huge smiles on their faces . For the final game they played St Mary of the Angels Nathalia, who proved too good.

Well done to the boys for showing great sportsmanship and a positive attitude all day!
