Principal's Report

Hello Marlborough families,

Lisa and I are both looking forward to taking over the operation of the school until the end of term. We are excited to support the Marlborough students, staff and parents during this period and we appreciate your continued support.

School Reports will go 'live' Friday 16th of June with Parent/Teacher interviews the following Thursday 22nd June from 2:30pm  - 5:30pm. Students will not be required to attend.  We will notify you via Compass when booking times are open.

On Monday, the Year 6 students (and some Year 5 students) were involved in PLAY (Positivity, Leadership and Activated Youth) program designed to enhance the resilience and wellbeing of young people.  The program is fully funded by Resilient Youth Australia and overseen by Maroondah City Council.  Two facilitators trained the students in how to conduct safe and fun games for other students, including younger students, at school during lunch times and recess throughout the year. The program provides a platform for students to support each other, practice positive values, take responsibility and develop their leadership abilities.  The hope is that this increases the students' confidence, self esteem and overall wellbeing.

Also on Monday the Year 1/2 students hosted their Grandparent's visit to school to showcase their learning.  It was wonderful to see how proud the students were as they conducted tours of our beautiful grounds.

Thank you,

Pippa Davis and Lisa Mackney (Operational Leaders)
