Year 11 Hospitality - High Tea

Year 11 Hospitality students hosted two exceptional high teas for staff members at the Circle of Friends café in the last two weeks. Students produced delicious food and decorated the cafe to create a regal ambience. The selection of food included cappuccino cupcakes, mini lemon meringue pies and classic scones with jam and cream. Students were also responsible for serving coffee, and worked on upholding professional service standards.

Year 12 Marine and Maritime Studies

Students in Year 12 Marine and Maritime Studies put their practical boating skills to the test when heading out in unprotected waters during their day sail to Garden Island. The journey took 90 minutes before John XXIII College boaters anchored on the sandy beach of Herring Bay. Crew members encountered crystal clear water, sea lions, and stingrays.
