Blessing on Learning

Dear Lord,

look with favour on all that we do.

We ask that you bless our learning and bring forth good things from it.

As your kindness enfolds us, give the increase and make our

teaching and learning fit for building God's Kingdom in our world.

Amen.

The religious life of McCarthy began this year with the celebration of the Holy Mass and a commissioning for all staff and teachers from St Nicholas’, St Joseph’s and McCarthy. This was followed by our whole College Opening School Year Mass at McCarthy – the Mass of the Holy Spirit in the College Hall celebrated by Fr Chris. During this celebration we prayed for God’s blessing on the year ahead and that the presence of the Holy Spirit remain in and guide our College community throughout the year. At the end of Mass Fr Chris and Mr John Wallace, who represented Tamworth St Vincent de Paul Society, introduced and commissioned the seven office bearers of our St Vinnies group; Madeline Neville – President, Peter Iuso – Vice President, Sara Lui – Secretary, Lyndell Boschma – Spiritual Advisor, Josie Chick and James Smith – Publicity Officers, and Stephanie Koukides – Social Coordinator.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ryan Lowe and his family following the passing of his grandmother.
