Welcome To Our New Japanese Language Assistant

A big warm John XXIII welcome to Ms. Saaya Iwata from Hyogo Prefecture in Japan. Saaya will be joining our Japanese language classes to assist students in understanding more about Japanese culture and helping us to develop better communication skills.  Saaya loves learning languages. When asked what she wanted to do in the future she replied “I want to master six languages.” She is currently studying English, French, Chinese, Vietnamese, Malaysian and Filipino.” The world is her classroom and it’s people are her teachers. Whilst in Australia, Saaya is looking forward to experiencing everyday home and school life  and speaking English with everyone.

We are really looking forward to hearing more about Saaya’s life and travels and feel fortunate that Saaya has volunteered to help us in Japanese. Whilst in Australia, Saaya is looking forward to experiencing everyday home and school life and speaking English. Thank you very much to our 3 host families who are so generously taking care of Saaya over the next 3 terms.

In addition, I would like to thank Mr Matt Onishi and Ms Melissa Luyke from the Hyogo Prefectural Government Cultural Centre for coordinating the Japanese Assistant Language Program.
