Well done everyone, you've made it through another fortnight of remote learning!! As we are nearing the end of the term I would like to congratulate all of the students for trying their very best during these difficult circumstances. I hope you all have a very restful break and I'm looking forward to Term 4 with you all!
Literacy
Over the last two weeks in writing we have been focussing on procedure writing. This gave the students the opportunity to be more hands on if they wished. They tested out recipes like making damper, conducted an experiment on how to make an egg float as well as creating videos and procedures on how to perform some tasks of their choice. It looks like we have some budding master chefs and pro gamers in 5/6, I know they definitely taught me a thing or two about some of their games!
This week we also celebrated Book Week so the students have been able to engage in a range of fun activities.
Maths
In maths we have been focussing on applying our knowledge of money to real life situations. The students have adhered to budgets whilst making shopping lists, learnt how to calculate percentages and discounts and worked out how to get the best value for their money when comparing prices.
