Classroom News - Year 5

                               Online Learning

Year 5 have been enjoying their 2nd week of online learning. All our learning is happening in the Google Classroom and they have a weekly timetable with activities for each day to complete. The priority is to complete some Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Religion tasks each day for a total of about 2-3 hours learning. We are finding the students seem to be managing well and are understanding the tasks supplied for them. On their timetable there is a Science PBL on Sustainability for any children that want to complete an extra task if they want to. We would like to thank all families for the support you have been giving your children. You have all been amazing in this difficult learning period.

We have seen most students attending Zoom meetings at either 10.40am or 1.20 each day.  If you could check that your child is attending that would be fantastic. We encourage them to come to the meetings to discuss the learning we are doing, with questions or just to share how their day is going.  Thank you again for all of your amazing efforts. We really appreciate your guidance and assistance during students learning from home.

                                 Religion

We have just started our Religion unit and we are focusing on how Creation is a gift from God and how human beings are misusing God's Creation and possible solutions to this. Students have completed some activities online and have shown some amazing thoughtful responses to Creation and particularly  'Stewardship of God's Creation'.
