music makes you feel good

BSC's Saxophone Quintet was proud this week to receive the 2016 Haynes Music in Health Award for their participation in May in the annual Music Is Good For You Festival at Royal Melbourne Hospital.

As reported in the Brunswick Star back in May, students Zac Joan, Louie Marshall, Leslie Gould, Ava Niehoff and Harvey Carroll participated in the festival - enjoying a fabulous opportunity to share their music with the hospital community and the representatives of many other schools and organisations that attend the event.

The Music Is Good For You Festival  is all about promoting and celebrating Music Therapy  - a proven tool to assist in patient recovery and to provide a better quality of life during a patient's hospital stay

Zac Joan and Harvey Carroll were very proud to accept the award on behalf of their peers and we take this opportunity to congratulate them on their sense of community and fabulous achievement!
